I set out to Ireland to house sit for a friend for a few months over winter. I wanted to rest, reset, recharge as I’ve been feeling a lot burnt out. I didn’t have a specific plan, or know what to expect, and what I found was that the Irish people are so wonderful. I found an organization called ReWild Wicklow and became part of their community. I planted native trees and shrubs with this organization almost every weekend of January and February 2026. I learned a lot about the plants and animals of the region, the struggles and challenges, and the ways in which the government and it’s people are adding biodiversity. More to come soon…
